Skelmersdale United are delighted to announce the signing of 19-year-old forward Ramirez 'Remy' Howarth after his departure from Blackburn Rovers.

'Remy' will be familiar to the United faithful after he spent the latter of last season on loan from League One side Blackburn Rovers making 17 appearances. He had played at fellow Evo-North side Bamber Bridge on loan earlier in the season in a number of good performances which included a goal in the 4-0 home win over Goole in November.

His last appearance for 'Brig' came in a 3-1 win over Burscough, a fortnight before he came ti United. He has rich experience for former club Blackburn having made 29 appearances in the 2015-16 season scoring three goals. He was part of the Rovers side that reached the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup and his Evo-North experience from last season will surely benefit United this season.

Speaking to United manager Alan Rogers earlier, he commented "'Remy is another very good addition to our squad, he did great for me last season and I am looking forward to getting him in the squad."
