Steven has vast experience dating back to his youth when he was at Liverpool before moving across the Football League with spells at Bristol City, Colchester United, Fleetwood Town, Bristol Rovers, Cheltenham Town and Altrincham.

He made the move away from the latter to join Warrington in 2015 where he was part of the title winning team that secured promotion to the NPL for the Yellows. His best spell came at Colchester United where after signing for a £400,000 fee, went on to score 25 goals in 98 appearances for the U's.

At 31, he will bring a lot of experience to the Uretek Stadium having amassed around 300 career appearances.
