Manager Neil Tooth expressed his delight today with news of the signing of striker Karl Hawley.

Karl joins us from Stafford Rangers and will become a member of Toothy's coaching staff as well as having a major role to play on the pitch where he will team up again with Justin Richards. The pair made up a prolific partnership at Stourbridge and Toothy is excited about putting the pair together again.

"I'm really pleased to get Karl on board and his experience in the dressing room and on the pitch will be so important to us over the coming weeks. We now have some really exciting striking options available to us with a great mix of experience and know-how as well as pace and energy. Karl is also joining my coaching staff and his wealth of experience will be fantastic for the younger players in the squad."

Hawley lists Carlisle, Preston North End and Notts County amongst his former clubs and he made two appearances for England C in 2004-5. During his three seasons with Carlisle he scored 47 goals in 118 appearances and whilst with Stourbridge he netted 24 times in 46 appearances.

Subject to FA/NPL approval, Karl will be available for selection in tomorrow night's home game against Marine, kick off 7.45pm.

Our thanks go to Neil Kitching and Stafford Rangers for their help in making this move happen.
