TEVERSAL YOUTH : WEEKEND ROUND UP

Keith Parnill4 Nov 2013 - 20:52

A brief round up of the weekend's action involving Teversal FC's youth sides...

It was a Notts FA Challenge Shield weekend this weekend and Teversal FC had four sides participating in the competition. It was, on the whole, a successful time with three of our four sides making it through to the next round.
It was unlucky for the Under 16s, as they bowed out of the Shield following a 7-2 home defeat by Keyworth United Green.
The Under 15s trounced Beaufort United by nine goals to two in their away Shield tie. Liam Allum led the way with six goals, Luke Bacon, Jermaine Jatau and Rhys Williams got one apiece to complete the rout. A trip to Dunkirk Colts awaits them in the next round.
The Under 13s faced Sherwood Colliery for the second week running, andthey were victors in the Shield by the odd goal in three. Jamal Hamisi and Pearce Cook were the scorers that sent the Tevie Boys through to the next round where they will face a trip to Beeston Centurions.
On Sunday the Under 18s faced Bagthorpe Athletic on their almost-famous sloping pitch and they came away with a 2-0 win with goals from Lewis Weaver and Harry Patrick and now face Dunkirk Colts Red in the next round. The third round dates take place on the weekend of 7th and 8th December.

In League action, the Under 12s were 4-0 winners over Southwell City Sharks while the Under 11s had a 6-0 win at home against Woodhouse Angels. Bradley Hall and Kian Townsend hit a brace each and Harry Topliss and Liam Johnson also made it onto the score sheet. Teversal Under 10s were without a fixture at the weekend.
On the mini-soccer pitches, Teversal Under 9s had a 7-0 home win against Walesby Juniors. Jonny Parsons led the way with four goals while Eddie Harrison, Louis Hodkinson and Lewis Clift also found the back of the net.
Lewis Clift also scored again for the Under 9s on Sunday in their game against Bilborough Pelican Colts, unfortunately, in a vary entertaining game at Hillocks School, the young Tevie Boys lost out to the odd goal in three.
On Saturday, the Under 8s were 6-0 winners at home to Selston FC. Will Halfpenny struck four times for the Tevie Boys and Alex Hewes and William Flint also scored.
The Under 7s were away at Burton Joyce, and in their two games they lost out 5-0 and 2-0 to Burton Joyce Green and Blue respectively.
