Joey Dunn has resigned from his position as First Team Manager

Widnes Football Club can confirm that we have received Joey Dunn’s resignation from his role as First Team Manager.

We are shocked and disappointed by Joey’s decision but his resignation has been reluctantly accepted by Chairman Ian Ross. He departs alongside Assistant Manager Stu Humphreys.

Although disappointed by Joey’s departure, Widnes Football Club would like to thank Joey and Stu for their efforts during their 12 months at the helm, particularly in successfully achieving promotion to the Hallmark Security League Premier Division following a memorable First Division title-winning campaign.

The Club will now turn its focus to the prompt recruitment of a new manager to take the club forward.

Applicants should send an up-to-date CV and covering letter in the first instance to Chairman Ian Ross via email: ian@hallmark-security.com

The Club will be making no further comment at this time.
