Peterborough Rugby Club and Yaxley Yaks O2 Touch Rugby club are pleased to launch their summer touch league, which will be sponsored by local team wear company SRG Elite.
The competition will take place across four Friday evenings in high summer. Held at Peterborough Rugby clubs “Fortress Fengate” all ages, sexes and abilities are welcome. All you need is a minimum of 6 players and the ability to fulfil two fixtures per evening for all four weeks of the competition.
SRG Elite are the sponsors of the league having agreed a deal which includes the winners trophies and owner Sam Sargeant is delighted to come on board and back the tournament which is part of a fully joined up touch season in this area. “We are very happy to support this event. SRG Elite aren’t just a rugby kit brand, we also aim to encourage people to participate in local rugby - This Summer Touch Tournament does exactly that. We can’t wait to see all the Men, Women & Teenagers enjoying themselves at Fengate this summer.”
Yaxley head coach Andrew Burgess is very excited to be launching the competition. “Yaxley Yaks have very strong links to Peterborough Rugby and we are very excited to be launching this year’s summer Touch League together. Rugby for all, touch can be played by anyone. We look forward to the biggest & best tournament yet!”

The weekly league breaks after the first round for SRGs beach festival and the organisers of both tournaments are keen for teams to double up and partake in both.
Week 1 – Friday 1st June 1800
Week 2 – Friday 15th June 1800
Week 3 – Friday 22nd June 1800
Week 4 – Friday 29th June 1800
