The 1st XV head to Hendon RFC next Saturday for the third game of their Herts/Middx 1 campaign and hoping to continue the unbeaten run.

Hendon finished 2016/17 in eighth place with wins against Old Actonians and UCSOB in the final weeks of the season pushing them clear of the relegation zone. Despite only winning six games of the 20 played, they averaged almost 22 points per match - better than any other team outside the top four. London Welsh won both of the league matches against Hendon last season, scoring seven tries in the 49-19 victory at ODP and then completing the double with a 26-12 away win.

After two rounds of matches Hendon sit fifth in the league having narrowly losing to Staines 17-15 on the opening weekend, and then edging a 23-21 win over UCSOB last Saturday.
