The last game of the season for both sides could have been a low key affair but in front of a healthy crowd including old friends and legends of local football in Phil Owen and Neil Costello, both teams put on a football treat that Ellistown just about edged.
For most of the first half it was Burbage who were on top and we had to be alert at the back as we had to take a lot of pressure while using Tom Vyce pace up-front as an outlet.
With Gio Stylianou having a rare 90 mins on the wing causing problems, we were in the game but had to make sure we made it to half time level.
This we done and a competitive 1st half finished all square at 0-0.

With the introduction of step 6 players Joshua Bond and Reece Green for the hard working Stacy North and Mylo Walker could town use their class to get back into the game.
The answer was no, as Andrew Wooldridge fired Burbage into a deserved lead on 50 mins.
EFC 0-1 B&H 50 mins
The goal knocked town into shape as Daniel Yadav got himself in the game and Luke Higgins, Jake Robertson, Reece Green managed to win the midfield battle.
We equalised on 55 mins when a ball played over the top of the Burbage defence bounced up in the penalty and hit the arm of the defender. That was enough for the linesman to flag for a penalty that ref Simon Fradley agreed with.
Up stepped ice cool Tom Vyce to score his 24th goal of the season from the penalty spot.
EFC 1-1 B&H 55 mins
Goal number 25 of the season followed shortly afterwards as Tom bulldozed into the penalty box and let fly and with a deflection the ball looped over the goalkeeper.
EFC 2-1 B&H 57 mins
With a tight back line of Craig Brooker, Ronnie Morley (aka John Terry) and the Ellistown Psycho (Chris Sykes) playing like Man Utd legend Vidic protecting Tyler Weeks in goal and our mascot Sid kicking every ball we were able to kill the game and suffocate Burbage.
The only disappointment was we could not add to the 2 goals and the final whistle went on the final game of the season with Ellistown winning 2-1.
