July saw a huge transformation at Abingdon Town. With help from some great committee members and volunteers, the clubhouse underwent a deep clean and renovation. Unfortunately, neglect and COVID conspired to require heavy cleaning of the entire clubhouse. Our new kitchen needed a deep scrub, and the office, storage sheds, backroom area and bar got the same treatment. However, it is probably the lounge area that saw the most transformation. From dark and harsh red on nearly everything below waist height, the team spent a week painting the area with fresh and updated colours. The space now feels comfortable and inviting. Our changing rooms and players hallway got a face lift too. Paint and, soon to be installed, new floors have refreshed the space. Now, the Abingdon Town clubhouse is ready for the season with a new refreshed look and COVID regulations in place. Also a completely reformed pitch watch this space for some before and after pictures.
