History

AC Fulham History.

The club was originally formed in 1995 as an adult team by the Morgan brothers. The brothers all grew up and attended school in Fulham and wanted a team to represent that so cue 'AC Fulham'. The name came about from an old youth club that was situated in Bagley's Lane in Fulham some years before 1995. The club was called All Comers Fulham and was opened to teenage boys and girls from different backgrounds to attend, unfortunately due to lack of funding the club was forced to close.

AC Fulham Youths were formed three years later to provide a football team for the brothers siblings alongside some of their friends. Under Manager Davey Morgan the boys were entered into the Lillie Road 5-a-side League and finished mid-table in their first season at U8's. Training began at Lillie Road Recreation ground before moving to Hurlingham Park in Fulham. At this time Davey was working for Fulham Football Club's Community programme and whilst working in different primary schools within the borough came across many boys and girls that wanted to experience the joys of playing for a team. This lead to the formation of several more teams as the club continued its growth.

The club made the decision to leave the Lillie Rod 5-a-side league in 2002 for the West Surrey Youth league to offer our players a new challenge after our U8's won the cup, our U10's won the league and cup, our U12's the cup and our U14's the league and cup. We now boast an U7, U8, 2 x U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16 and U18 teams that play in the Surrey Youth league and an adults team that plays in the West Fulham Football league.

We are a community based football club run by volunteers and are open to anyone looking to experience the joy and passion of playing football. We provide a safe, structured learning environment for all children from the ages of 6 years right through to adults to participate in football. We are an affiliated member of the London FA and play our matches on Sundays in the Surrey Youth League. All our coaches all possess FA coaching qualification with emergency aid and safeguarding certificates.

Our motto is 'we are open to all comers'! so please contact us for details of how to join.
