INTERVIEW ?️ | “The manager and backroom staff have been great since the start. I am grateful to Simon for giving me the opportunity to play for Newbiggin and I want to continue giving him 100% each week”
This week we sat down with 17 year old Jack Livingstone and talked about his development with the club and future ambitions.
Since joining you’ve been a prominent starter this season, how has this helped with your development with only being 17 years old?
“Playing every week is essential for my development. I’m grateful that Simon and the coaching staff have had the belief in me and this has given me confidence to help me improve as a player.”
Three Man of the Match performances in the Premier at a young age is a great feat, what are your ambitions for the rest of the season and beyond?
“For this season I want to be a key part of the team where we finish as high as possible in the league, winning as many games as possible. For next season I’m looking forward to moving to our new ground and being part of the club as it progresses.”
The squad is mainly based around 18-24 year olds with a few older lads involved, how have the older players helped the youngsters like yourself?
“The more experienced players in the team have helped me progress as a player as I am always learning from them both in training and in games. The lads made me feel welcome from the start and this has helped me to play with confidence.”
How important has the manager and backroom staff been in training and match days with the club now unbeaten in five, winning four?
“The manager and backroom staff have been great since the start. I am grateful to Simon for giving me the opportunity to play for Newbiggin and I want to continue giving him 100% each week. Everyone involved in the club has been essential to the current run of form that we are on and we will aim to continue this unbeaten streak.”
