This week we sat down with Will to discuss his transition to the club, important upcoming games and rallying the community once again for this Friday night.
How have you settled into the club since your move from Bedlington Terriers and Morpeth FC?
“I've settled in better than I could ever have imagined, i've just tried to graft as hard as I can to earn the lads respect and I feel i've managed to do that. It's never easy joining a new team, especially mid season but everyone has been great”.
The Biggin and Independant have both applied for promotion to the Northern League, how important is our fixture next month against Independant and will the lads be looking to make a statement?
“Yeah it's no secret that that's our aim we’re not shying away from it. Every game from here on out is absolutely vital it doesnt matter the opponent, the winter months are always huge in how the table ends up looking”.
The Biggin recorded their first win at Haltwhistle on Saturday and find themselves still settled in second place, where do you honestly see the club finishing in this season?
“Saturday was great and we showed how gritty and aggressive we can be when we have to be especially in poor conditions, we just have to keep winning games and hopefully that gives us a chance at pushing for the top in the spring time”.
How important is it for the local community to get behind their in form football club this Friday against Stobswood Welfare?.
“It's vital, it's not a coincidence we've been able to find that little bit extra in the dying minutes at home as of recent. The community pushes us on and we hope that'll be the case again on friday night”.
