The Norfolk club’s first team squad were at The OnSite Group Stadium for a light training session yesterday morning (Tuesday) ahead of their game at Fratton Park.
Norwich boss Johannes Hoff Thorup led his players during the session, which gave them the opportunity to stretch their legs after travelling to the South Coast the previous day and work on some of their tactical play ahead of their Sky Bet Championship fixture against Pompey.
The coaching team included former Arsenal and England midfielder Jack Wilshere, who became part of the coaching set up at Carrow Road last month.
Pompey and The Canaries played out a 0-0 draw last night at Fratton Park. The result moved Portsmouth out of the relegation zone at the foot of the table to 21st position, while Norwich are in 10th place.
The travelling Norwich contingent were impressed with the standard of the pitch and the facilities during their visit to AFC Portchester.
After spending the night at the Marriott hotel at North Harbour, The OnSite Group Stadium was perfectly placed just a short drive away to enable Norwich to make use of the facilities - away from prying eyes ahead of the evening kick-off.
