The Starting Lineup: Samuel Piña Serrano (GK); Kelly Gieber, Joan Benavent, Stiwar Quiroz, Samuel Sanchez, Joel Fioriti, John-Michael Villarreal, Tom Stephenson Green, Christian Gibert, Timilehin Obamwonyi, Adrian Valdivia

The Substitutes: Bryden Plowright, Alex Quijano, Youssouf Diabate, Josh Roberts, Nick Madrid

The First Team returned home after a big away victory over CF Intercity “B” last weekend.

Continuing the form from last week, Joel Fioriti scored in the 14th minute to put ACFC up early.

UD Altea responded with a goal just 5 minutes later, but the deadlock was once again broken quickly this time by Stiwar Quiorz in the 21st minute.

This flurry of goals died out and the first half ended with the hosts up 2-1.

Manager Pancho Guerrero did not make any substitutions at halftime, seemingly pleased with how his team had started the match.

This faith was not unfounded, as just 3 minutes into the second half, Joel Fioriti scored his 2nd of the match and 6th of the season to put ACFC up 3-1 early in the second half.

Scoring the first goal of a half, especially early, can be so vital for a team. It set the tone and doubling their advantage took the wind out of UD Altea’s sails.

In the 60th minute, Adrian Valdivia scored his first goal of the season to extend the lead to 4-1.

Youssouf Diabate came on for the goalscorer Valdivia in the 64th minute as Guerrero wanted to get some fresh legs on the pitch.

UD Altea would get one goal back in the 66th minute to make things a little more respectable, but ACFC were able to kill off the game after that.

Nick Madrid came on in the 76th minute for John-Michael Villarreal to help keep the score where it was.

The hosts saw out the remaining 14 minutes with relative ease, winning the match 4-2.

With the upcoming week being a bank holiday, the first team will return to action for their last match before the Christmas break on the 18th of December away against CF Alfaz del Pi.
