In an exciting development for the club we are pleased to announce that Alloa RFC will shortly be entering into a Partnership Agreement between Alloa Academy, Lornshill Academy, Clackmannanshire Council and Scottish Rugby to implement a Schools Rugby Programme at both academies, creating an environment where sport will make a significant contribution to the delivery of "Curriculum for Excellence" by playing a central role in the life of the schools. The Schools Rugby Programme will provide a strong rugby culture and will allow all pupils to experience rugby.

This will also help promote and further strengthen our links with both schools to achieve our aim of developing a visible and sustainable progression path from school youth rugby to senior club rugby and therefore ensure the long term viability of Alloa RFC.

In order to reinforce our commitment to both schools, the club have provided them with brand new training kits, which are dual badged and were kindly sponsored by Hamilton & Brydie.

Yesterday saw the first of a series of competitive matches involving local schools and we were well represented with both schools fielding sides at S1 and S2. Alloa also fielded a side at U16, who played some excellent rugby to comprehensively defeat a Denny High School side, but more importantly they had a fun day and the feedback was very positive in terms of how we as a club supported them on the day.
