Allscott smash 5 goals passed Dawley to go 2nd in the league

AFC Admin22 Aug 2012 - 21:37

Allscott continue winning ways with a 5-0 thriller against local boys Dawley

Allscott hosted Dawley Town in their second home game of the season.

Starting XI for Allscott
Keith Fletcher, Matt Dickenson, Nigel Davis (c), Andy Bentley, Lewis Heston, Ben Parker, Lester Alderson, Nick Bradshaw, Matt Earley, Tom Worthington, Matt Boswell

Subs: Luke Phoenix, Aaron Minshall, Ian Johnson

Allscott kicked the game off and passed a direct ball to Worthington on the left hand side of the pitch which went out for a throw. The Throw was sent flying in by Earley and found the head of Boswell who netted the hosts in the lead with only 30 seconds on the clock. Allscott got a little complacent and allowed Dawley to play some good football between their midfield men. Although Dawley seemed to be controlling the game in the middle they did not threaten the Allscott defence. Davis and Bentley were dominant and Fletcher made it easy for the back men.

Half time 1-0

Good half time team talk to get the lads going and they started off with a bang. Allscott dominated every tackle, every header. Bradshaw played just in front the back four and was solid. Earley was also controlling the midfield and spraying passes to the wide men whilst Lester was the engine of the team, never giving up. Ford and Parry (assistant manager for the day) decided to make some changes and brought Earley and Dickenson off and replaced with Minshall and Phoenix. Within 2 minutes a well battled ball was retrieved by parker and passed to Bradshaw who pinged a ball over the top of the Dawley back 4 which was met by Boswell to score a well time log over the keepers head. Allscott 2-0. 10 minutes later a great pass again from Bradshaw found the feet of Worthington who picked out a great run by Heston who also lobbed the keeper, great goal and first Allscott goal of his career. The whole team celebrated.
Johnson came on to replace Parker who was back from his dead leg injury and made an immediate impact. Johnson caused a problem on the right side. He passed the ball inside from the right and found a steam train in Alderson running towards the ball. Alderson struck the ball first time to find the top right corner. Allscott turned on the style and moments later a through ball from Boswell found Alderson who forced his way between 2 Dawley defenders and ran on to secure his second of the game.

Good solid performance from the Allscott defensive duo Davis and Bentley and a well deserved clean sheet for keeper Fletcher. Phoenix, Heston and Dickenson did not put a foot wrong.

Great team effort and well deserved win.
