Allscott smash Morda for 4

AFC Admin23 Sep 2012 - 09:12

Allscott answer last weeks defeat with a great all round team performance.

Starting Line Up:
Steve Parry, Will Leech, Nigel Davis, Andy Bentley, Lewis Heston, Tom Gregory, Tom Oldfield, Tom Bradley, Nathan Childs, Matthew Boswell, Ben Parker

Subs:
Tom Ford
Dean Bakehouse
Chris Scott

Allscott went into the game needed a response from last week’s unfair defeat against bottom side Whitchurch.

Allscott got off to a great start and matched Morda's, with the home side having more chances but they were easily prevented by Parry and his back 4. A great break down the right side from Tom Gregory found Ben Parker whose trickery was too hot to handle as he meandered through the Morda's defence to find Allscotts number 10 (Bozzy to slot home the first goal). 10 minutes later some great play starting off by Parry found Nathan Childs whose one two with Oldfield tore the midfield apart. Childs then continued his run and slotted Parker through on goal to coolly convert his first goal of the season. Tom Oldfield and Tom Bradley completely out classed their rivals and looked like they have been playing football together for years... Top Quality display. Just before the half time whistle great belief and ambition from Childs won his team a penalty from nothing. Boswell secured his brace and calmly as always converted to the keepers left.

Half time 3-0

Allscott knew that Morda would come out fired up and had to maintain their performance. Unfortunately within 5 minutes Morda's attack found a gap in the Allscott defence. 3-1. Did Allscott lay down and accept that Morda wanted to get back into the game?? No... Perfect reply was to attack Morda and put the pressure on. Park had the ball on the right side of the pitch and picked out Childs. Childs composed himself outside the box and placed a fantastic strike into the right side of the Morda Net... Allscott back up to the 3 goal advantage. Davis and Bentley had an outstanding game solid as a brick wall. Bakehouse came on to replace Heston who had a steady game. Bakehouse used his pace and strength to ensure no goals was conceded. Leech switched to the left hand side and had an outstanding game. 15 minutes to go debutee Chris Scott came on to settle the game and take control replacing Parker who completely dominated the game and proved to be the difference up front for Allscott today. Scotty made an instant impact and sprayed the ball around the park and came close to securing a goal within 5 minutes of being on the pitch. Tom Gregory had a fantastic game on the right and soldered up and down the wing until the final whistler. Matt Boswell was a rock up front winning flick ons.

I don't normally state a Man of the Match and to be honest any of the 11 could have won it. But I want to give M.O.M to Steve Parry whose keeping was exhibitional. His kicking was excellent and shot stops and crosses were world class. Welcome back Parry.

All in all a great performance by Allscott... Bring on Church Stretton
