
Almondsbury travel to Moor Lane on Saturday afternoon to face Wincanton Town in their 3rd match of the 2017/18 Toolstation Western Division 1 campaign. Neil Baileys side will be looking to bounce back after 2 straight defeats to pick up their first 3 points of the season.
The Almonds kicked off their campaign at The Field on Saturday against a well organised Chippenham Park side and narrowly lost 1-0 to a first half penalty before a disappointing 3-0 defeat on the road to Welton Rovers on Tuesday night. Wincanton Town also lost their season opener away to Radstock Town with a disappointing 4-1 defeat before bouncing back on Tuesday night picking up an impressive 3 points away to their local rivals Chard Town.
Last time Almondsbury visited Moor Lane they walked away with the 3 points after a narrow 1-0 victory on Saturday 8th October 2016 which was to be one of Almonds' 7 wins last season. Wincanton Town finished the season stronger finishing a respectable 13th in the table.
Almondsbury will be missing Alex Bisp as well as player manager Neil Bailey being doubtful with a minor thigh injury.
To get to Moor Lane on Saturday simply follow the M5 from Almondsbury southbound to Junction 23 before following the A39 all the way into Wincanton. Kick off is 3pm.
