We are delighted to announce that we have secured a new head coach for this coming season, Tom Borthwick.
Tom played for Aspatria and Captained them for 12 seasons and over this period also represented the County on numerous occasions.
He then went onto coach Aspatria while they progressed into the old National 3 (now National1) and gained his Level 4 Coaching Qualification.
Following this he went on to coach Tynedale for 10 years and during this time they gained promotion into National 1.
Out of the club environment Tom was Head Coach for Cumberland and Westmorland when winning the County Championship in 1997 and in 2008 winning the Division 2 final with Northumbria. He has also previously held the position of Assistant Coach with the England Counties for a period of 3 years.
We warmly welcome Tom to our club and look forward to when the season can commence.
Emma Adamson,
Chairman and Senior Vice President.
