NEW MANAGER APPOINTED AT AMERSHAM TOWN FC.
Amersham Town have appointed James Hall as their new manager to succeed Dwaine Bryan, who has left the club.
Chairman Simon Damery explained, “This is an opportune moment to bring in a new face with new ideas. James is an experienced and well qualified coach. The pause in play due to the pandemic has provided a window for James to get to know his players and the club. At present it is not clear when football at our level will be able to start again but we need to be in a good position when it does”
“We are grateful to Dwaine who took over at short notice last season and kept us in the first division of the Spartan South Midlands League. However, since the restart, results have not been as we expected and we felt that the team was not moving forward as we had hoped. As a result we have parted company with Dwaine and I would like to thank him for the work which he has put in on behalf of the club.
James Hall was recently the head coach at Harlow Ladies. He has previously enjoyed success with Oxhey Jets as their head trainer as well as having years of non-league experience. James is a Uefa B qualified coach and is a candidate for a Uefa A qualification. He is also taking a masters in high performance football coaching at St Mary’s University and has scouted for Barnet FC. James said, “I am looking forward to the challenge. Amersham Town are a sleeping giant that needs to be awoken again. It’s a friendly club with excellent facilities and a forward thinking Chairman, I aim to provide a team of which we can all be proud and excited by.”
