Ards mini rugby convenor welcomed Mark McKee from local farm produce company Fresh Fields to Hamilton for the opening of this seasons annual Fresh Fields Festival of Mini Rugby.

This season's festival had to be amended last minute and spread over two Sunday afternoons as the pitches at Hamilton Park were deemed not fit for car parking.

Sunday past saw in excess of 250 players from the P2-P4 teams of Ards, Bangor, Donaghadee, Ballynahinch, Hollywood and Lisburn rugby clubs take part.

This Sunday (24th April) sees a similar number of players in the P5-P7/Y8 age groups take part.
