Holidays took their toll on the Ashton side as a much changed side took to the field. Winning the toss Ashton opted to bat, with openers Janak Patel and Adam Slack looking solid from the start. Unfortunately Slack misjudged a straightening delivery and was clean bowled by Gurban. Janak Patel continued to find the boundary on his way to 52 with Dave Gaskin(12), Chris Collings(12) and Josh Sayle (20) providing him with support. A brief cameo from youngster Warren Lomas hitting consecutive boundaries from the off, was unfortunately short lived and the tail was soon dispatched with Ashton on 146.
An opening partnership of 59 put Ladysmith under pressure. Skipper Chris Collings taking a catch giving Josh Sayle the first wicket. Joe Walsh who was bowling another excellent spell quickly removed Rashid (18). With Gaskin replacing Sayle as the target neared, he produced some excellent deliveries swinging the bowl and varying his pace to collect two wickets, with Josh Sayle taking an excellent catch outstripping his brothers heroic's from the previous week. Littleborough reached their target with thirteen overs to spare.
