Ashton Town Under-23 graduates, Ben Lappin and Josh Brown, have been rewarded for their performances this season by signing contracts with the club. Both players have featured heavily since November 24.

Lappin, who turns 19 next month, has put pen to paper on a deal that will run until the summer of 2026. He has impressed for the Under-18s and Under-23s over the past 12 months. After completing pre-season with the first team, he made several substitute appearances until late October. Since then, he has been ever-present, starting in 11 of the 13 games played, taking his total involvement this season to 20 games.

Brown, 20, has also signed an 18-month deal with Town after being with the club for over two years. During that time, he has dipped in and out of the first team while regularly featuring for the Under-23s. His availability over the past few months has seen a real upturn in performances. Like Lappin, his increased involvement since the end of last year has contributed significantly to the team’s improved results.

Well done to both players! They join Cal Hunter, Will Hamilton, Connor Brown, and Leon Wright in committing to the club.
