New Media team members needed for both Men's and Women's teams

Ashton United are currently looking to find new members to join our media team.

Ashton United F.C is currently looking for new enthusiastic people to join our media team to help us produce pre, during and post-match content for both the men's and women's teams.

You will be working with the Media Manager to produce the highest quality content for use across the club’s communication channels, the website, social media, events and programmes. This is a role which will suit someone who can attend games or would be willing to work from home, ghostwriting copy for programmes and social media. The experience could be gained in; journalism, match/radio commentary, filming/editing and social media.

Hours:
Match days midweek and weekends.
• Approximately 1½ hours before a match and up to 30 minutes after the final whistle.
• Ghost writers’ hours are flexible and negotiable with the Media Manager.

Person Specification:
Qualifications:
• No prior qualifications are needed

Desirable Knowledge & Experience:
• Experience of studying/volunteering/working in the media field.
• Excellent knowledge of football.
• Experience of working in a team environment is essential.

Skills:
• Good communication skills.
• Excellent people skills.
• A demonstrable passion for football.
• A clear and precise diction.
• Attention to detail.

Personal Qualities:
• Friendly, helpful and cheerful disposition.
• Outgoing and enthusiastic personality.
• Organised and punctual.
• A sense of humour.
• Attention to detail and passion for being accurate.
• Ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative.
• A team player with a ‘can do’ attitude.
