After a tough first season in Championship 2 following consecutive promotions we all sat down as a team last week and reviewed our performance and looked at areas we could've and want to improve ahead of next season. We are now looking forward to the future of Womens rugby at Aston Old Eds as we move into the planning for next season to improve and develop as a team.
I would like to thank Andrew Coveney and Raymond Brown for their hard work and support within the Womens team over the last few years. They are both stepping down from their roles, however will kindly remain supporters and volunteers when we need them.
I would like to formerly introduce Julius Hunt to the coaching team ahead of the 2023/2024 season. Julius brings expertise with both his playing and coaching background and has already made an impact with a more professional approach; exciting times ahead for AOE Womens.
Julius said: "I'm extremely excited and proud to be joining Ethan and the AOE Womens team. From being a spectator and avid supporter they have a huge amount of quality within the squad and there is real promise for growth and development for next season and beyond. It's been a tough season in the new unchartered territory that was Championship 2, however they should be proud of themselves and how they've held their own against some well seasoned team. The futures bright for Aston Old Eds Womens XV."
