Ian was a regular supporter of AOE during the 1990s and 2000's, invariably with his friend Colin Cross, and also invariably wearing a deerstalker and holding a flask of very potent mulled wine to share with fellow spectators.
Ian was born in 1930, and went to KEGS Aston in 1941. He gained his pilots licence aged 17.
One of his great loves was car rallying, and along with his brother, he completed in the Monte Carlo Car Rally throughout the 1950's - finishing 5th overall in 1960.
Our condolences to Ian's family and friends on their loss
