The next Past Players Lunch and Reunion will be on 21st September, when the 1st XV face Coalville

Hopefully many of you will already have received an email regarding the event (if you haven't, it probably means we haven't got the correct email address for you - so please let me know it for future use) :-

Last season's Past Players Lunch saw over 100 former players reunite, and the recent Gary Street Festival of Rugby brought together 500 from the wider rugby community. Both occasions saw old friendships being renewed, and the general feedback was that this should happen more often.

We have therefore scheduled the next Aston Old Edwardians Past Players Reunion for Saturday 21st September 2024, when the 1st XV will play Coalville in their first home match of the new league campaign.

The format of the day will include the option of a 3 course sit down lunch in the marquee at lunchtime, or a less formal BarBQ running throughout the day - the choice is yours.

Bookings for the lunch can be made using the link below - and the cost is just £15 per person - partners are more than welcome to attend

The timings are

12.00 Bar Opens
12.45 Lunch

Vegetable Soup
---------------------
Chicken with peppercorn sauce or Salmon with hollandaise sauce
Seasonal vegetables
Roast potatoes
----------------------
Cheese Board

12.45 Bar BQ @ £5 (running throughout the afternoon)
13.30 Centurions Presentation to players who have played 100+ 1st XV matches
15.00 1st XV Kick Off v Coalville

Please include your name(s) and indicate your menu choice(s) when booking

In order to assist with catering, it would be very helpful if you can let me know if you are able to attend, even if you are not booking in for lunch. This message will go out as to as many former players as we can reach using email, Pitchero, Facebook etc, but please also spread the word via your own channels, and encourage your ex-team mates to attend - for what will hopefully be another memorable occasion

Many thanks

Glyn
