So it’s the day after the weekend that was.
Aston have returned from their 125th anniversary tour to sunny Newquay.
The intrepid bunch departed on Friday 17th via a variety of modes of transport and all convened on the Cornish coast for some Rugby and if there was time a spot of liquid refreshment.
A big thanks goes to Newquay Rugby club for their tremendous hospitality and to their players for being excellent hosts during the afternoon and late on into the evening.
The game itself was a classic tour affair with a flexible approach to kit being worn (when it arrived) and positions played, but included a stirring 10 minute cameo from our own Chairman and a couple of tries to savour.
As for the rest of the weekend some cheese and wine was sampled, nick names were won and a few tourists cemented their reputations and even had them surpassed.
All arrived back safe if not entirely sound on the Sunday afternoon with the prospect of a beer or two at the club watching the Villa to round off the weekend.
Just a quick reminder to all that the Kangeroo Court will take place on Saturday after a club game so get in touch with your Captain if you fancy a game and so you can get hold of the meet time.
Tees no longer required but definitely expect some fines!
