Having been selected for the past two fixtures (both postponed) Akeem was relieved to finally play a match for Aston, when he started on the wing for Aston last Sunday (29th). Giving a strong display with ball in hand and in defence, Akeem has the potential to be a key component in the Aston back-line.

On the opposite wing, John Steele started his first game of rugby, and gave a performance like he'd been playing for years! Admittedly out of position out wide, John stuck at it for the opening exchanges, until injuries saw him enter the engine room in the second row, where he immediately looked at home. Putting in some big hits in defence and carrying strongly, there is no doubt the coaches will nurture him into a fine back-row/second-row forward.
