Read on to find out more about our action packed return to Colomendy

With less than a couple of weeks to go, the programme for the Colomendy trip has arrived, it is sure to be a fun-filled weekend.

The programme for the weekend can be found in the links below, along with a sample menu for information purposes (be aware this is subject to minor changes).

As can be seen, the programme that has been agreed looks superb, with some exciting team events planned over an action packed weekend.

There is an important document attached (Colomendy Information pack 2018) which provides key information – it highlights how the camp manages safety and risks, provides a code of conduct which all children must read before attending and adhere to, directions for the site, and the all-important what to bring list.

There is a water-based activities planned (raft building) so there will be an additional change of clothes required just in case!!! We do recommend that you pack plenty as we never know what the weather is going to do. It’s better to have more than you need, rather than not enough.

All of the activities are outdoors, so suggest comfortable clothes, preferably layers to keep warm and ability to cool, and definitely not those designer labels as we’re confident there will be lots of muddy activities. The activities go on into the evening so children will need an overcoat to keep warm, keep an eye on the forecast to decide if a raincoat will be needed too!!

In terms of footwear, old trainers, sturdy boots or wellington boots should all be good.
Again please look at the suggested list in attached document or contact your coach for any clarification.

Everyone should look to arrive at Colomendy for between 16:30 and 17:00 on Friday 25th, directions again are in the pack attached. All Coaches will be on hand to meet the players, and allocate rooms and activity groupings. Bags will be dropped in an arrival hall close to reception – again Coaches will be there to help.

On Sunday 27th, all players will have had lunch, and be ready for pick up at Colomendy at 13:15.

Remember, Coaches will be there all weekend to look after all players, please ensure they have your contact details as required over the weekend.

Hopefully this article helps with preparation, for any more detail please contact your coach.
