A Brief History of the Club (more to come...)
Although there were cricket clubs in the village before (apparently a man died playing cricket in the village sometime in the mid-nineteenth century), the modern club's roots lie at the now closed 'The Boot' pub in Aston Upthorpe.

When landlord Bob Kempster decided to throw together a cricket team from the locals at the pub back in 1984, he set in motion the birth of Astons Cricket Club. Although not officially the village side until the following year, a mixture of villagers and Boot drinkers from neighbouring Didcot, made up the side, with current Captain Trevor Dew also one of the founding members.
