Atherstone Player chosen to play for district team

Atherstone Player chosen to play for district team

Ross Salt26 Oct 2012 - 11:38

Cameron Brotherhood makes Nuneaton and District side and becomes first of many Atherstone Junior player to break into team.

We are please to announce that Cameron Brotherhood who currently plays for our under 14 side has been chosen to represent the Nuneaton and District under 15 side.

Cameron only started playing with us last season, however the impressive displays and attitude led to him being named player of the year last season and has subsequently been put forward by the coaches as a flanker for the district team.

Cameron also tried last season when his school put him forward, however he was sent as a winger and was unsuccesful which is not surprising as he is an out and out flanker.

For anyone who wants to go and support him in his first game it is being played at Newbold Rugby Club on 6th November 2012 kick off at 1700 hours. You can find directions by typing Newbold RFC into pitchero and going to their site.

We have also put forward six of our under 14 players to go for trials on the 7th November and we will keep you updated as we hope more of our players start to get recognised for their skills.

We would have almost certainly had Ben Kent in the same team as Cameron had he not broken his wrist, but next year I am sure he will make the side as well.
