Aveley Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Chris Regis.
Chris joins The Millers having recently played for Isthmian Premier League Club Folkestone Invicta who he joined in early December from National North side Bishop's Stortford.
Chris started his career at the youth ranks of Arsenal before moving to Southampton in 2015 on a scholarship 2-year-deal, following his departure from St Mary's he joined Colchester United in 2016, and spent time away on loan at Maldon & Tiptree in 2016, scoring on his debut against Dereham Town.
At the beginning of the 2017/18 season he was at Farnborough when they were in the Southern Premier Division, his perfromances earned him a trial at Bolton Wanderers, before then signing for then League Two side Port Vale. He went on to score on his debut in the club's EFL Trophy game and they went on to win that game 4-2 against Crewe Alexandra.
In the Summer of 2018, Regis joined newly relegated National South side Torquay United, but departed and went on to play for Wealdstone and Truro City across the 2018/19 season.
For the 2019/20 season Chris joined Coggeshall Town in the Isthmian North and played against Aveley at Parkside in a Coggeshall Town 2-1 victory where The Millers missed multiple penalties all saved by Ashlee Jones. He then went on to play for Cambridge City, Barton Rovers and Chalfont St Peter.
Ahead of the 2022/23 season Chris joined Braintree Town and made 39 appearances, which included a play-off Quarter final defeat away at Worthing.
Now Chris joins The Millers, and made his debut against AFC Fylde in a 1-0 victory, progressing to the last 16 of the FA Trophy.
