Soham take the first 60 minutes and win the game 2-1.

Millers inconsistent form at the moment is costing them a play off spot as they have now won eight and lost five in the last 13 games.

Soham controlled the game for the first 60 minutes as the Millers didn't really get a look in, but the last thirty minutes the Millers showed why they are themselves challenging for the top five places in the Ryman North.

Soham had the first chance of the game as a poor double attempted clearance from Spencer Harrison landed to Luke Stanley but as he charged down in goal James Marrable came out well to deny Soham an early lead.

The Millers throughout the first half were sloppy, passes were going astray and the Millers really couldn't get out of their own half.

Millers created their first half chance, great cross by Marcus Elliott but Kyle Asante just couldn't get any real touch on the ball to guide it in.

Theo Ola then went on a mazy run but he didn't chose to smash the ball and test Lamar Jospeh-Johnson in the Soham goal, but the ball ended up going out for a goal kick.

Millers real first shot on target came on the 31st minute mark as Jack Stevenson shot came from 40 yards out, it never looked like going in by Jospeh-Johnson dropped the ball but recovered under no real pressure.

Soham were on top and created chances, but none were really clear cut. Ryan Sharman came within a whisker of putting Rangers infront but just missed the far post as he tried to curl it into the far post.

The deadlock was finally broken and it was the hosts who took the lead as they capitalised on a defensive mistake. Paul Preston misjudged the ball and it went to Stanley, his shot was saved by James Marrable, it landed straight to Ryan Sharman who finished well into the open goal. Soham 1-0 Aveley.

Half Time- Soham 1-0 Aveley.

Soham came out the blocks firing again and Matt Simpson got in behind the Aveley defence and somehow he didn't score, it looked like he didn't know whether to shoot or cross but the ball went agonisingly wide for Soham.

Kyle Asante Off and Danny Francis On.

James Marrable yet again Mr.Consistent made two super saves to deny Soham from extending their lead even further, and it really should've been 3-0, as both Simpson and Luke Stanley were denied by super saves.

Daniel Francis did have a glorious chance to level the game but he was falling back as he hit it and from six yards out he fired over the bar.

Ahmed Deen played his best game for the Millers so far this season, his runs down the left hand side were superb and crossed some fantastic deliveries into the box, that just didn't land for the Millers.

Marcus Elliott was then fouled on the edge of the area, Millers took it quickly and has a great chance as Danny Francis was through on goal, however the referee pulled it back. Really should've been let to take it quickly as the free kick was awarded and the Millers took that advantage to score.

Soham then countered the Millers and doubled their lead. Pace down the left hand side beat Mathias Bakare, the ball was squared into the middle and it was tapped in by Simpson this time. Soham 2-0 Aveley.

Jack Stevenson was then awarded a yellow card for what was adjudged as a shoulde to shoulder challenge.

Danny Francis could've, and really should've had a penalty as he was wrestled to the ground by Jordan Gent, however nothing was given.

Jack Stevenson then ran through towards the goal, but was taken down from behind, free kick was again give, but again the referee decided to not award a booking.

Captain Billy Holland was then given a yellow card after having a few words with the referee, after a suspected handball decision which went Soham's way.

The Millers did get one back as the ball landed to Danny Francis who lashed home, but it was too little, too late for the Millers who were not themselves for the first 60 minutes of the game, but now they must bounce back at home to Cray Wanderers on Saturday.

Full Time- Soham 2-1 Aveley.
