Romford come from 3-1 down to lead 4-3 until a Elbi header four minutes from time which made sure there was a share of the spoils.

In a game that really the visitors should've won, superb attacking display and defensive horror show provided a fantastic game for the neutral.

Romford had the first chance of the game as Joe Scott breached the Millers back four but James Marrable came out well to deny Scott a free shot at goal, the danger warnings were already there for the Millers.

A few minutes later the Visitors took the lead via a James Marrable own goal. Millers did first have a chance but Boro countered the ball was played into the box, it was met by Joe Scott and his header came back off the post, hit Marrable on his back and ended up in the back of the net. Aveley 0-1 Romford.

Millers had their first chance as Ola drifted past Sam Kemp but his cross was intercepted before it could land to the unmarked Robbie Farrell.

Romford came back into it. Great turn and shot by the impressive Hazelwood but his shot was blocked by his own teammate in an offside position.

Abs Seymour for Boro also impressed as he really took the game by the scruff of its neck. He tried a long ranger with a thunderous drive but his shot went wide of the target.

George Essuman was then awarded a yellow card as Boro looked to be through on goal but for the hand of the Aveley centre half.

Romford should've doubled their lead but for a superb save from James Marrable. A close range header from Scott again, low and hard but this time Marrable saved from close range to deny the striker.

The Millers started to get back into the match and equalised as Luke Stanley was fouled down the right hand side. Ahmed Deen whipped in the ball to the front post and a superb header from Spencer Harrison as he flicked the ball into the back of the net. Aveley 1-1 Romford.

From the next attack of the game the Millers then took the lead. Again from another free kick, as Theo Ola was fouled by Kemp. Jack Stevenson floated the ball into the back post, Robbie Farrell unselfishly headed the ball back across the goal and Spencer Harrison was on hand yet again to this time bundle the ball into the back of the net to give the Millers the lead. Aveley 2-1 Romford.

Romford came back into the game but Hazelwoods shot was saved near post by James Marrable. The Millers countered as Robbie Farrell did brilliantly as he carried the ball forward from his own half but his shot was blocked well by Barry.

The Millers came forward again, Petrit Elbi went into the penalty area and a foul on him by Barry and this time a penalty was awarded. Jack Stevenson stepped up and cooly slotted away and sent Omand the wrong way to put the Miller sin cruise control. Aveley 3-1 Romford.

Back came Romford in this ding dong battle of a game. A corner was flicked by Reynolds towards the goal and Jack Stevenson cleared off the line.

With Romfords next attack they pulled one back with a minute left in the half. The ball found its way to Reynolds at the back post and he lashed home from eight yards out to kick start the Boro's comeback. Aveley 3-2 Romford.

The Millers really should've restored the two goal lead they had as Theo Ola had a fantastic run as he went past everyone including the goalkeeper. But with an open goal he rushed his shot and the ball hit the roof of the side netting.

Amazing half of football. It wasn't just the players who needed the fifteen minute break.

Half Time- Aveley 3-2 Romford.

Romford came out with guns blazing as they knew they had to win as Chatham were leading against Maldon. After a good run for Hazelwood, Danny Hopkins tackled well and a corner to Romford followed. Joe Scott again connected with the ball but again Jack Stevenson was in the right place at the same time to hack the ball off the line.

James Marrable then pulled off an amazing save. James was on the floor after making the first save, as Reynolds then came in and shot, it was saved again as tipped over the bar.

From the resulting corner, the Boro were awarded a penalty after Spencer Harrison lent in with his arm to clear the ball away. Loui Hazelwood stepped up and sent James Marrable the wrong way and the momentum in the game switched again. Aveley 3-3 Romford.

Within the space of two minutes the millers again somehow survived as they cleared the ball off the line twice. Barry's header was cleared by Holland and from the next corner Seymours effort was saved and headed off the line from Stevneson, a hat trick of goal line clearances for Jack Stevenson.

The hard working Robbie Farrell was replaced by Mathias Bakare coming back from a hamstring injury.

George Essuman might've been lucky to stay on the pitch. Already on a yellow he dived in with both feet as Ibe was about to shoot but he was swept off his feet. However George got away with a talking to.

The Boro should've taken the lead. Joe Scott was played through on goal but what looked like a destined goal his shot trickled just wide of the target as he managed to squeeze it past the on-rushing James Marrable.

With the visitors next attack they completed the three goal comeback as a cross from the right hand side was headed in with a bullet header from Jack Barry. Aveley 3-4 Romford.

The Millers reacted with a double change, Damny Hopkins and Luke Stanley were replaced by Lemar Reynolds and Danny Francis.

Romford should've been out of sight. Somehow a shot from Ibe was blocked and in a bundle the ball was cleared away. Boro came again Joe Scott through on goal but again he just fired wide of the target.

With time ticking away the Millers came with a stunning equaliser. A great cross from Ahmed Deen landed on Petrit Elbi's head, and he headed brilliantly into the bottom corner past the stranded Omand in the Romford goal. Aveley 4-4 Romford.

Full Time- Aveley 4-4 Romford.
