Bury Town v Aveley FC
The long awaited Ryman North campaign gets underway this season as the Millers travel to Bury-St- Edmonds to take on relegated Bury Town.
The Millers have had a mixed pre-season so far. After good results against VCD and Canvey Island it has been blighted by injuries throughout the whole of pre-season. Within the first game of the season Tyler Myers pulled his hamstring within 20 minutes. Arian Retkoceri has been out with a knee injury, along with Brian Okwera who hasn't been able to feature either with a problem from last season. Goalkeeper James Marrable is also set to miss out from a reoccurring elbow injury, new signing Jack Kelly is set to start in goal for the Millers against Bury Town.
For Bury Town their pre-season hasn't been brilliant for results for the Suffolk side. Two wins against FC Clacton and Haverhill Rovers, 3-0 and 4-0 respectively, three defeats to Mildenhall Town 2-1, Walsham-Le-Willows 3-1 and Ipswich Under 21's by three goals to nil. Bury Town also have one draw this pre season against League Two side Cambridge United 1-1. Bury Town manager Ben Chenery said recently "Results are not important at this stage but obviously winning helps confidence. It's now time for the players to be ready mentally as everything now builds up to the 8th August and the home game with Aveley. We must be ready this season and make a good start."
