Joined Aveley on loan from EFL LEague Two side Gillingham at the beginning of November.
Alex, 19, is a graduate of Gillingham’s academy and made his first team professional debut against Portsmouth in an EFL Trophy Group stage fixture at Fratton Park in October 2023. This season Giles has been on the bench for The Gills on six occasions in League Two, and played full 90 minutes away at Championship side Swansea City, where Gillingham were defeated 3-1 by a strong Swans side.
In the EFL Trophy Alex has also played twice against League One Peterborough and Premier League side Crystal Palace.
The central defender now joins Aveley to gain more playing experience.
