Hughesy joined The Millers ahead of last season in July 2023 and went on to make 48 appearances upfront, scoring 14 times, including a hat-trick against former club Hemel Hempstead Town in a 4-3 victory, Charlee also assisted on four occasions too.
Prior to signing for Aveley, Charlee played for Brentwood Town and Maldon & Tiptree, where he was top goal scorer for both in back to back seasons with 20 in 33 for Brentwood and 30 in 45 games for The Jammers which earned him a move to National League side Wealdstone. Following a move to Hemel Hempstead, the forward moved to Aveley and helped The Millers to a seventh placed finish.
