The midfielder started his career at Tottenham Hotspur before moving to Cambridge United with loan moves to Cambridge City and Hemel Hempstead Town before signing for the latter after his departure from Football League Cambridge United.
Luke departed The Tudors to play for St Albans City before moving to Tonbridge Angels for the 2015/16 from December and for the whole 2016/17 league campaign.
In the 2015/16 season Tonbridge finished 4th in the Isthmian Premier League where Luke scored 3 goals in 25 appearances from central midfield with goals against Harrow Borough, Farnborough and Dulwich Hamlet. The following season Luke went on to make 53 appearances, scoring 11 goals as Tonbridge just missed out on the play-off places by one point. Following the 2016/17 season, Luke made the step up to the National South, signing for Braintree Town.
In his first season with the club The Iron won promotion via the play-offs to the National League. Luke continued to play and scored goals against Barnet and Chesterfield in the National League but Braintree were relegated back to the National South for the 2019/2020 season.
Following relegation Luke moved to Dartford where he played over 100 times for the Darts, where the league was stopped twice with Dartford in 5th and 2nd before Covid curtailed those campaigns. The 2021/22 season saw Luke feature 24 times scoring 4 times, helping The Darts getting into the National South play-offs, however, they were defeated on penalties at home to Chippenham Town. The 2022/23 season saw Darftord make the play-offs again after finishing second, and lost on penalties in successive seasons, this time to St Albans City, Luke made a big impact featuring 34 times, scoring four more.
