We want to congratulate former club mini/junior and 1st XV player Sol Taufa on his selection for Bristol Bears Rugby Vs Queensland Reds at Ashton Gate.

Sol who had played in every age group through the youth section at Avonmouth before breaking into the 1st XV now plies his trade with old rivals Dings Crusaders RFC in Nat 1. Sol who is a much loved character at the club has gone from strength to strength in National League rugby since his time with Dings and has scooped a noticeable selection in last seasons Nat 2 South Team of the Year whilst also winning the Nat 2 South Title!

Sol was selected to start in the fixture in what is a great achievement for himself, the family and both Avonmouth & Dings!

Sol has now flown to Australia where he is taking part in a training camp for the next 2months with the Tongan 7’s team in the hope to earn a spot on the world stage!
