The late Jack Rose, who played a big part in the Junior Floodlight League at Myra Shay, formed Trinity Athletic in 1965.'We were most fortunate in gathering a strong committee who had played at most levels of local soccer. Norman Mattocks, Ray Lambert, George Hinsley, Ernest Smith, Gordon Turpin and Sidney Green were all well known on the local soccer scene at the time. Later Norman Butterfield joined the committee' Wrote Jack in a local press report. Trinity moved into Saturday afternoon soccer with success in the Red Triangle League and later the West Riding County Amateur League.

There they had Premier success as well as winning the Bradford & District Saturday Cup.

They moved into Sunday football as founder members of the Bradford Sunday Alliance League. Trinity had reached division 1B by 1990-91 but suffered a big setback when they were relegated to division 2A after a disastrous 1991-92 season when they never won a match.

The Saturday club had become established in Baildon and the Sunday team followed suit. Slowly the club was rebuilt in division 2A and after finishing third in 1997-1998 they moved up to division 1A under the name of Bay Horse FC.
Horse finished 11th in 1998-1999 and change their name to Baildon Trinity Athletic.

It certainly did little for their fortunes as they finished bottom in 1999-2000 when reverting to their old name. It was a campaign to forget. They won two games and conceded 101 goals.

Karl Zanft then took charge of the team and guided Trinity into the West Yorkshire Premier League as Div 1 champions in 2002 but moved on to manage Guiseley reserves in the early part of 2002/03 season. Neil Barlow took over and dragged Trinity to safety in their first and second seasons in the top flight. Unfortunately, at the end of season 2004/05 Trinity were relegated from the Premier Division of the West Yorkshire League after finishing 2nd bottom. On a more positive note, the Under 16s won the Craven, Eire & Wharfe League Soccer City U16B Division.

2008/09

A great season for all the teams involved with Baildon Trinity Athletic.

The Saturday side have just been crowned the Division 2 Champions of the West Yorkshire League and won The Wharfedale and District Cup Final.

The Sunday Side have gained promotion to Premier Division of the Bradford Sunday Alliance.

And the newly recruited Angel FC, to change their name to Baildon Trinity Angel, have just been promoted to Division 1 of the Wharfedale Triangle League.

2009/10
Neil Barlow (pictured) stepped down as manager after guiding the team to mid-table security after coach Lee Clapham resigned in controversial circumstances early in the season.
The Sunday team had a torrid time in the Bradford Sunday Alliance Premier Division finishing bottom but retained their league place due to the resignation of two clubs mid season.
Nick Warden also gave up the Manager role after ten years as the Angel boss. His team finished a very creditable third in league one and will be playing Wharfedale Triangle Premier League football next Season
