NextGen is all about helping young people in Oxfordshire reach their full potential, whether that’s within a role in football or outside the game.
Aimed at supporting 14-24 year-olds living within Oxfordshire wanting to gain experience of being involved in football, and enhancing their personal development, NextGen is a FREE season-long programme.
During the course of the season, NextGen members will be able to attend in-person and virtual events, which target different areas to support individuals’ development.
As part of the programme, NextGen members will be connected to one of our affiliated clubs, who will provide real-life experience of being involved in the beautiful game.
NextGen covers all areas of volunteering within football. As well as coaching and refereeing, those involved in the programme will also learn about the roles of treasurer, secretary, chairpersons, and many other unseen roles that are crucial at grassroots clubs.
All of this will be supported with continued learning, as well as the potential to achieve qualifications, and access to professional CV and career guidance for college or job applications.
Throughout the NextGen programme, there will be a progression pathway for participants to follow, where everyone involved can strive to achieve targets, collect rewards, and receive shout-outs for their achievements via our social media channels and e-newsletter.
