About the team

Hello & welcome to Banbury Irish AFC Under 8's.

The entire Banbury Irish Club was set up by my amazing Daddy, Mick O'Driscoll who we sadly lost far too soon in 2022. As a result, and to try and keep his legacy alive, I volunteered to not only pick up his role as Secretary of the Club but also to take the U7 team onto continue through the Club. I knew nothing about football other than being a "football mum" to both my son and my daughter (who still plays for the girls BIA FC Team). I did my Level 1 Coaching Course and passed and then became very quickly a fan of you-tube, the FA Bootroom and other internet sources of information to continue my development. I think something must have worked as all my U7s continued to sign back up for me as U8s, with 5 more additional players joining.

We are all about having fun through football and each week we follow a comprehensive football session plan to achieve that aim. This season will be our first "proper" season in the Witney & District League and I am excited and priviledged to be able to continue my football journey with a great squad of players
