Banchory Cricket Club Code of Conduct
1. Compliance with Diversity & Inclusion Policy:
All members of Banchory Cricket Club must adhere to our Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) policy. This includes showing respect for individuals of all backgrounds, abilities, and identities, and actively contributing to an inclusive team environment.
2. No Abuse or Disrespect:
Abusive behavior, whether verbal, physical, or emotional, towards other teams, officials, or within our own club, is strictly prohibited.
Any form of discrimination, bullying, or harassment is unacceptable and will be addressed with serious consequences.
3. Respect for Club Facilities and Equipment:
Members are expected to treat all club facilities and equipment with care and respect. This includes using equipment as intended, reporting any damages, and maintaining cleanliness and order in club spaces.
4. Safeguarding and Disclosure:
If a member becomes aware of any behavior or situation that may constitute a safeguarding issue, it is their duty to disclose this information to our safeguarding officer immediately.
Safeguarding concerns include, but are not limited to, abuse, exploitation, neglect, or any other behavior that could harm individuals, especially minors or vulnerable adults.
5. Positive Team Behavior:
Members are encouraged to support each other, celebrate successes, and maintain a positive attitude, even in challenging situations.
Competitiveness should be healthy and never overshadow the primary goal of mutual enjoyment and team growth.
6. Adherence to Rules and Regulations:
Members are expected to understand and adhere to the rules of cricket, as well as any additional regulations set by the club or governing bodies.
7. Conflict Resolution:
Any conflicts within the club or with external parties should be addressed in a constructive and respectful manner, following the proper channels provided by the club.
8. Responsibility and Accountability:
Each member is responsible for their actions and is expected to uphold the principles of this code. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action, up to and including removal from the club.
This code of conduct is designed to ensure a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all members of Banchory Cricket Club. By being part of this club, you agree to uphold these standards.
