When will Bare ever win a toss, or even a game?

After some late adjustments to the team, Nev turned up to Burneside, the crucial game, after Craig had lost the toss and Bare were asked to bat on a deck that had a bit in it for the bowlers. With Frank on the bins Butty (11) was pining for his opening partner, so Fergie (14) from an old life held his hand and they walked out and got off to decent starts. Young O.Coxon (1/27) started the mini collapse as 31/0 became 31/3. The accurate Chambers (3/24) also picking up wickets at crutial times with a caught and bowled and a catch from B.Coxon. The alcohol free Bhardwaj (45) put on a solid 50 partnership with the experienced J.Sharman (26) seeing Bare pass 100 with 10 overs left. Hartley (2/39) who was injured then took a catch and picked up the sober one with a catch from McDonald (because Archy was saving himself for bowling!). McDonald (1/11) then struck but then the relief an Allison (Josh) can actually bat and ended up scoring 22 not out with critical runs, aided with some Cheeseyperson (2 not out). Bare put on a competitive 146/7 off the allotted 45 overs.
Burneside stuttered out the blocks a bit. Kelsell (10) got a start but played one too many shots as Sharman took a skier off Albon (1/24). Then Nev took one of 2 catches behind as the crowd were in shock with such events! Ellwood (42) then pushed the accelerator having won Burneside the game in the reverse fixture. Then at 68/2 Jacks dad was in the game catching the dangerman out. Cook (5/34) then went on beast mode ripping through the top and middle order with some decent nip, according to one source. Then Burneside had a mini revival from McDonald (19) and B.Coxon (13) with Burneside passing 100 with 5 wickets left. Bhardwaj then saved some energy and got off his phone to take a snapper as Robbie (3/30) started to perform for his mum and dad! Then with Hughes wanting to star the show, he came on and finished the game with a wicket on his second ball (1/0). A great team effort today (including the easiest dropped caught and bowled from the fat lad) which takes Bare off the bottom of Division 1. With Silverdale losing it goes down to next week with Bare playing away at Trimpell needing 2 points and Silverdale playing at home against Burneside. Top night last night at the club, right to sober up...Jake who??!!!
