RIP Jack Phillips

RIP Jack Phillips

Adam Dennehey12 Aug 2019 - 17:46

Barkingside are saddened to announce the death of our Reserves captain Jack Phillips.

Jack (pictured) was respected on and off the field and he will be sadly missed by his friends, family and his footballing family.

Despite only joining us this summer, he had played for coach Steven Ince before. Jack played for Haver Town (Essex Alliance League) and also enjoyed a good spell with Coral (Corinthian League)

Steven has said the following tribute in honour of Jack:

Jack has played for me for the past three seasons, in this time he led his team to four titles including back to back league titles. Jack is a respected leader both on and off the pitch and was committed to everything that he did, so much so, it has been known for him to receive a yellow card (due to his committed nature) in a quicker time then it took for him to finish his hair.

Jack is an amazing captain, leader & friend and would do anything for anyone without expectations of something in return, he is an amazing son, brother, nephew, grandson & boyfriend to a wonderful group of people who will all sorely miss him.

Jack will be remembered for his amazing smile, cheeky attitude and his love for his friends, family and football. Our loss will be heavens gain – You will be forever in our hearts.

See you soon my friend.
Steven Ince
