Barton Cricket youngsters get ready for a busy season at their 2023 presentation night- 2024 season here we come
It's all systems go for a mammoth cricket season for Barton Cricket Club's youngsters this summer.
The Cricketfield Road club is fielding no fewer than two under-10 soft ball sides and age grade teams at 11, 13, 15 and 17 levels for both boys and girls in the Devon Cricket Foundation-organised youth league this year.
New manager and coaching recruits have been busy during the winter on various qualification courses to join the club's well-established and highly-experienced team of ECB coaches - all, of course, with DBS checks in place.
A club spokesman said: "We have more than 40 youth games across the age groups. It is going to be a busy summer."
The club welcomes players of all ages and abilities. The official said: "Barton is a club where Every Ability Shines - whether you're a seasoned player or just starting. We just want to provide cricket excitement for all ages and for all abilities.
"We have lots to offer - our own exclusive indoor club net where you can beat the winter blues by practicing even in the coldest months, links with the Riviera Cricket Academy for winter Saturday coaching sessions, our Friday night club nights and, of course, the games themselves. And we have a clubhouse for all the family."
The age-grade Friday night coaching kicks off on the first Friday in May for both boys and girls. And Barton would like to start ladies and disability teams this year
