Brady Hickey Interview

Tom Sutcliffe5 Apr 2025 - 22:22

Brady Hickey spoke with the media team after a hat-trick and 3 points against Biggleswade Town

The wind has played havoc with our post match interview with Brady Hickey. This is what the skipper had to say

On his Hat trick and the 3 points

Yeah obviously it's nice to get a hat-trick but at the end of the day 3 points is the most important thing today. With respect to Biggleswade they're a good team you can hardly see why they're down there because they're playing well. The first half-hour they were definitely the better side I think we've grown into it a little bit. Last 10 or 15 we did in the first half we started creating a few chances I think we had 3 or 4 perhaps one v ones or good chances And then luckily right on the half we got the goal which I think settled the boys it was very important.

On the timing of the goals.

Goals change games I think we scored a good time today, the one on the stroke half-time knocked the stuffing out of them a little bit, second half the penalty I think it was probably on the hour mark or so, At the end of the day goals do change games I think that's massively knocked the stuffing out of them allowed us to control the game a lot more and take the sting out of it.

On keeping the boys motivated

We know we need more points we know we've got to keep going We've got teams going for the playoffs we've got Halesowen and Harborough going to the playoffs away from home which are very tough games. We've got Stourbridge and Spalding at home who are flying. We've got 4 massive games we know we need to take points

On his testimonial game

Ten years at any club nowadays is very rare. This club's been great to me The people around the club are brilliant I've enjoyed my time and to celebrate ten years with everyone You know it would be great to see as many fans as possible that have been here throughout the ten years and you know with some ex-players coming a lot of my friends and family coming And if we can get as many people down here as possible just celebrate have a good day have a few drinks after
