Barwell have rewarded Tolani Omotola with a contract after his impressive start to the season. Omotola has scored seven goals so far including two in the FA Cup.

Omotola was born in Germany and first turned out in England for Tranmere Rovers, playing in their final league game before relegation to the National League. Spells with Burscough, Witton Albion and Altrincham followed along with loan spells at other non league clubs.

Last season Omotola was at Coalville Town for a spell and was also with Corby Town where he scored three times in six appearances. He signed for Barwell at the start of this season and has fast become a fans favourite.

Guy Hadland is delighted to have Omotola on a contract: ‘Tolani has done really well for us this season and his goals have been crucial for us already. It’s great to have a striker scoring regularly as that is something we’ve missed recently. The lad deserves this.’

Omotola told us he was enjoying his time at Barwell: ‘I’m loving life here at Barwell, the spirit and atmosphere in the squad is one of the reasons I’ve found it so easy to settle in. Everyone’s made me feel very welcome which has given me confidence to go on and play with freedom.’

Omotola will be looking to add to his tally in the game away at Nuneaton Borough on Saturday.
