Lowestoft Town make the long journey from beautiful Suffolk to Leicestershire as Barwell host them in a Southern League game at the UK Flooring Direct Stadium. Kick off is at 3pm and Barwell are likely to feature two new signings in the form of Cian Tyler and Ross Oulton. Both teams have won their last two games and a close encounter is expected.
The Trawlerboys arrive from the Coast with big wins under their belts against St Ives Town and Redditch United. Last weekend was a 6-0 win over struggling Redditch United with a 5-2 win coming at St Ives Town the previous Saturday. Those wins and other recent good form has seen them rise to 16th in the table on 29 points from 24 games. Jake Reed is one of the leading goalscorers in the league this season for Lowestoft Town with 15 goals
Barwell were without a game last weekend due to a postponement at Biggleswade but come in to this game with wins over Alvechurch and Peterborough Sports. That has put them in 12th place with 38 points from 25 games. Cian Tyler has been brought in on loan from Coventry City to cover for Max Bramley in goal whilst Max is in the USA on trial with a professional club. Ross Oulton joined the Canaries ahead of last weekend from Stratford Town and may well make his debut against Lowestoft.
Cian Tyler is 17 and has been featuring for both the Coventry City U18 and U23 sides recently. This is his first loan spell out and he will be looking to continue his experience in the Southern League.
In this same fixture last season the game ended 1-1 with Jai Rowe getting a late equaliser for Barwell. Earlier this season in the reverse game, Lowestoft claimed a 3-2 win but had to withstand a late Barwell rally as they came back from 3-0 down with goals from Hickey and Omotola.
The game will be played at the UK Flooring Direct Stadium, Kirkby Road, Leicestershire, LE9 8FQ.
